FinQ Tech is proud to announce its sponsorship of the QCAS workshop at the 43rd ACM/IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD). This sponsorship underscores FinQ Tech's commitment to advancing quantum technologies. Additionally, Yiwen Liu from the FinQ Tech community will present a talk titled "A Comparison on Constraint Encoding Methods for Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm." Another FinQ Tech member, Zhiding Liang, serves as part of the organizing committee for the QCAS workshop. The workshop will take place in person from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET) on October 31st, 2024, at the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott.

Yiwen Liu will present "A Comparison on Constraint Encoding Methods for Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm" at the QCAS workshop. This talk will explore various strategies for incorporating linear constraints into the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA), a pivotal approach for practical quantum computing applications. The study compares three methods: transforming constraints into an unconstrained format, introducing penalty dephasing, and utilizing the quantum Zeno effect. This research is crucial for addressing constraint satisfaction problems in fields like supply chain management, energy distribution, and financial modeling.

What is QCAS:

QCAS (Quantum Computing Applications and Systems) is a dedicated workshop within the ICCAD conference, focusing on the practical applications and challenges of quantum technologies. This year's session, "Exploring Quantum Technologies in Practical Applications," aims to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world applications, particularly in the field of quantum optimization. Esteemed experts from JPMorgan, QuEra, LBNL, and FinQ Tech will present their latest research and insights. For more details, visit the QCAS workshop page.

What is FinQ Tech:

FinQ Tech, founded in 2019 is a non-profit quantum technology community dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of quantum computing. By sponsoring workshops and participating in conferences like ICCAD, FinQ Tech aims to promote the practical adoption of quantum technologies across various industries.
